More information on peace silk:
Peace silk means the silkworm can complete its metamorphosis and fly as a beautiful butterfly out of the cocoon. No silkworm dies during the usual drying of the cocoons by hot steam or boiling water.
For this reason organic peace silk is a bit more expensive than standard silk, this is reflected in the price of the dye kit.
The making of all my products is low impact and sustainable. Since I only use vintage fabric and natural, plant based ingredients to dye with. No chemical drama here – it's all about the good vibes and eco-love. Pure and simple, going natural all the way!
The scrunchie and bandana in the kit are made in a workshop for the disabled, socially inclusive and with a lot of dedication.
Care: This item is handmade and plant dyed. Please cold hand wash with mild wool soap & hand dry. Care instructions are included with the order.
A NOTE ON NATURAL DYES:
Get ready for a splash of charm and character! Natural dyes bring a vibrant, deep color vibe unlike their chemical counterparts. But here's the fun part – since they're all-natural, some hues might decide to dance a little differently or take a tiny break from the limelight over time. So, treat them like the colorful personalities they are! When they're not stealing the show, keep them cool and shady, away from direct sunlight. And when it's bath time, give them a gentle wash in the washing machine at 30°C and with a pH-neutral soap, like wool & silk soap. It's all about the love and TLC for these lively hues!
Shades may vary slightly to photo due to lighting.
